Pattern Release
Updated: Sep 3, 2020
I don't know about you, but I'm ready for fall, and so is my latest pattern, the Stormy Sweater. This is a perfect transition piece for a few reasons. I started writing this pattern in the spring, inspired by the rainy weather and fresh new blooms that trickle down the lace sleeves of this breathable, cotton sweater. But it turns out I'm actually getting a ton of use out of it in the early fall. It's just enough warmth for crisp mornings and the positive ease makes it perfect for layering. The sweater is knit seamless in one piece - flat for yoke and body, sleeves in the round. The surprise? A unique open back that flatters all body types. This sweater grew with me throughout my pregnancy and still looks great as I settle into yet another shape postpartum. I even had a knitter who purchased the pattern tell me about how she modified it as a wheelchair-friendly sweater. This sweater is truly for everyone!
Update August 2020: The pattern is now available in ad-free PDF format, including low vision format (24 point Black sans serif font, no columns, fully written instructions) in my Payhip shop, and here on the blog.
Special thanks to my tech editor Frauke Urban and my wonderful test knitters for making this pattern the best it can be. Share your FOs onRavelry and Instagram
